Because of the amount of times i have dyed, straightened and hacked at my hair, i find that it takes a lot longer for my hair to actually grow nowadays (other than my fringe, which is so annoying!). I was recommended Lee Stafford's treatment, which i guess is a replacement conditioner, that claims to help hair that never grows past a certain length. I have read a lot of reviews about this treatment, and thought i would give it a go myself, since i had nothing to lose from it!
You can buy the conditioner from boots, superdrug and many other beauty shops for around £7.99. For me, i didn't think it was that steep a price to pay, since many of my friends had had good experiences with the treatment in the past.
However, note on the tub, the conditioning cream does not say it actually helps the hair to physically grow, like it states in the slogan. Instead, it is meant to strengthen the hair, and help 'sooth' the scalp. Which, in my experience, is what most shampoo and conditioning products claim to do by themselves anyway. Regardless of this, i thought i would give it a try anyway.
The instructions on the tub say to use an 'egg' sized amount on your hair, and massage into your scalp for 5 minutes, using the lotion every other day, until you feel your hair condition has improved. Taking an egg sized amount out of the tub every two days will obviously use up the conditioner extremely fast. Using a smaller amount seemed to have the same effects too, as long as it is appropriately dispersed and massaged in to your scalp.
The conditioner itself smells really nice, almost with a bubblegum scent to it. It feels really smooth and creamy, but is a pain to open and close the tub if you are using a shower! The conditioner is watery enough to enable you to simply massage it in to your scalp with no problem.
I've been using Lee Stafford's hair treatment for around three weeks now, and so far it has massively improved the strength and feel of my hair. Since i regularly dye and straighten my hair, this is a massive improvement, and my hair feels and looks in a lot better condition than before. However, i haven't seen much improvement in the growth of my hair. At first, using the recommended amount of cream on my hair, i also found that my hair would need washing a lot faster than previously, which is why i suggest using a smaller amount. Hopefully, as the treatment has improved the quality of my hair, my hair itself will grow better in the future. Although for the price, and size of the bottle, i would probably suggest a high quality conditioner instead, as this is all the treatment seems to be.
i love it! ♥
